Yes I am alive, if anyone is still reading this anymore and wondering wtf happened to me. I just sort of got caught up with lots of shit. But anyway I'm back! and Regular updates of my journal should being again posthaste. I have so much crap I need to cover that I dont know where to start, so since this is a new year, I will only talk about what's going on right now and in the near future and pretend that I already said all I needed to say about the last few months.

Anyway firstly I have dropped quite a few shows and picked up quite a few other shows in the transition between the fall tv season to the new spring/winter one we are in right now.
My current watch list for anyone who is curious includes the following:
Leverage (SO SO SO EXCITED ABOUT NEW EPISODES THIS MONTH EEEEE!)
White Collar (this was quite enjoyable and breezy fun, something I was sure about when I first started watching. It can tip into the generic at times but normally it saves itself before it starts becoming really predictable and stale, it would help I think if Jeff Eastin wrote all the episodes since so far his are the only eps that have really been great while everything else has either been ok-acceptable and half decent)
Modern Family (I put off watching it for weeks, thinking ti was just another family sitcom and while it is in some ways in many ways it really is a new modern take on the family. more importantly though it's FUNNY)
Community (love this show SO MUCH and I await the rest of the season's episodes with great anticipation!)
Skins (I dont know why I am still watching this considering the amount of journal space I spent bitching about season 3 but darn it I just love emily, naomi, jj and thomas too much to stop!)
Ashes to Ashes (this beautiful mindfucking eighties drama of my heart returns this season. Hurray!)
Psych (All I can say about this drama is "YAY" and that's all I ever need to say)

True Blood I am also still watching, it's not starting again until the summer months though but casting news shows that season 3 of true blood will have even MORE supernatural hotties and insane plotlines. Oh why cant it be summer now? D:

So apparently the BBC is doing a drama about Lennon and Yoko Onno (but mostly their nude behinds) and I for one am ALL for it. The best part is the fantastic Christopher Eccleston is playing Lennon, AWESOME SAUCE. What's funny is I had no idea it was Eccleston until I read the BBC press pack, I was looking at the trailer and wondering "who is this hot dude playing Lennon?" and LO AND BEHOLD it is my original british crush Eccleston! It's also nice to see that my old suspicion that Eccleston would be less foxy with long hair was totally wrong. Way to rock the shit out of the hippie hair dude *thumbs up* He also looks at least 10 years younger than he actually is. Also I chuckled at the pic of eccleston!lennon's bare bum because i've seen the original pics and Lennon had a super pasty pancake bum. Whereas Eccleston's bum is clearly the toned and firm bum of a proffessional actor who knew he'd be flashing his arse very soon. I am not complaining though. ever. lol
Basically checking the press packs for upcoming dramas it seems like there will be alot of awesome on the BBC this season. So far dramas that have piqued my interest include:
Mrs. Mandela (a movie about winnie mandela? hell yes I am watching this)
Luther (I am not a fan of police dramas or thrillers, I am however a fan of Idris Elba and I can easily overlook my dislike for crime dramas with good writing. So chances are high that I will check this one out)
Lennon Naked (really with a title like that how can I say no? Also CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON. and...CHRISTOPHER ECCLESTON NAKED)
Material Girl (the lead actress looks super cute and I am always amazed when a woman or man of color is allowed to headline a drama, it's just such a rare thing. not so crazy about the fashion setting but we'll see. maybe this will vill the void left by ugly betty when it stopped being coherant and i had to drop it)
Money (You know I love the eighties right? Well I also love Nick Frost and have an odd fondness for Vincent Karthieser even though he still looks 16. but he is a good actor and this sounds like the sort of drama I'd enjoy)
Secret Diaries of Miss Anne Lister (I really love that the BBC does dramas like this, a focus on an intelligent fascinating woman, who is a lesbian and plus all the lovely trappings of a period piece. I will definitely give this one a shot!)

I am also eyeing A Passionate Woman because Billie Piper is indeed one very foxy lady and I do love me some forbidden romances, hopefully this one will be more sexy and exciting than Secret Diary of a Call girl was. (you'd think a show about a sex worker would be more racy and fun wouldnt you? but you'd be wrong!)

AND OF COURSE. New and Improved Doctor Who! Now 100% less RTD shenanigans! and 50% less emo angst and 60% more gorgeous redhead! woo! Bring on the Moffat! (I want to add now that I like Matt Smith's face shape and body build like 40283028x more than I ever did Tennant's. My flist can now proceed in stoning me if they wish)

ALSO. Cant forget that the winter olympics are coming! WEEEE. I love the olympics, plus I know more of the winter athletes by name. *pulls out GO USA banner*

and that is all ladies and germs! (and lady germs) I will hopefully have more substantial things to update about next time. I have sort of kept up with lj, but basically drop me a line and say hi if we havent talked in a while. :D I'd love to hear what everyone else is watching this season! (I might put up a poll in my next entry actually)

I'm glad you like Modern Family, I was hesitant about it at first too, but I love it now and look forward to it every week haha.

Okay, I love Timothy Hutton, but I totally have to catch up on Leverage, I think I sort of forgot about it midway through season one. But I totally, totally ship Sophie/Nate so pleeeease tell me there are some developments that way!?

SO EXCITED for Ashes to Ashes omg. I've been looking at the set photos for months now, and the anticipation is KILLING ME.

Um, hi, I will not be stoning you as I am so glad RTD is gone and I was so sick of Tennant by series three so I have to say I'm glad he's gone too. I was never attracted to him but I am TOTALLY attracted to Matt Smith, not gonna lie. Also his companion is GORGEOUS. And the new trailer looks so exciting.

I am so glad I gave MF a try, it's really such a fun and funny show! I dont like it more than Community (which all the critics keep comparing it to, WHY? they are nothing alike!) but I def enjoy it muchly. Tell me do you have a favorite character? I think mine is Mitchell since are surprisingly similar (does that mean I am a gay man at heart? lol)

OMG WHUT. You must catch up ASAP! How far did you get? The second to last ep before the holiday break "Ice Man Job" was SO GOOD. and the episode before that, the "Two Live Crew Job" was even more amazing had and some great sophie/nate moments!

Yay for no stoning! But seriously I find that during this year alot of the tennant/10 and rtd discontents were coming out of the woodwork to confess that they had problems with ten from the beginning or they now no longer liked him anymore. It was surprising, a year and a half ago i felt like the only one in fandom who wasnt on board the 10 train! I am glad that's not the case though. and Yes Math Smith is super hot and since I am a young in myself his super young age of 26 is no problem for me. :Dv and Yes wtf ridiculous pretty companion! and Honestly if anyone had any doubt who Moffat's fave doc was from the classic series I think the casting of matt smith as youngest doctor ever probably made the answer clear.

Naaaah it wasnt that bad I just like exaggerating lol. However my stress came less from school and more from having to spend prolonged time around my family. Plus holiday season tends to annoy me in general (and I hate winter) and also I was distracted by video games. it's a long list lol. i used "lots of shit" as a shorthand for all the time occupying things that were happening.

XD nah I just love british tv. and funny thing i may not end up going there for abroad study, definitely wanna visit (and hopefully often if i can afford it) but after talking to my lovely local friend who has been to england many times (she loves it btw but she also knows what kind of weather I hate the most), I am thinking maybe I would not want to live there. Still I got like a year and a half to make decisions about this so I'm not in any rush.

Phil has always cracked me up. He tries too hard to be a cool dad. And he's just such a guy with his weird crush on Gloria. But he comes across as the kind of guy who loves his wife & family despite his flaws. Plus he's hilarious.

Hee I saw it the day after it aired, a kind person at the comm sent me a link via PM. All the better too since tvfreeload is down lately and I wouldnt have known where else to look! (except streaming sites but I hate to stream on this comp)

I laughed so hard at Change's entrance (for a minute I really thought he was dead!) and at poor Jeff trying to be cool and laidback and proving that it's impossible for him (which just made him even more endearing to me <3) but the best part was definitely starburns being one of the "cool kids" and the surprise!owen wilson :D (I also loved that jack black was basically playing a parody of himself)

Phil is really a doll, I just didnt realize it at first. I think once I got a better idea of the family dynamic and his relationship with Claire I was able to appreciate him better. (they also toned him down a bit after the first few eps)

In other news, A2A needs to hurry the hell up and be back on my computer. I've been avoiding spoilers like the plague, and I just need to know what happens, damn it! Also, news of Christopher Eccleston's naked behind is always appreciated. ;)

Oh, and you won't be getting stoned by me either. I can't wait for an RTD-less Who, and Smith is growing on me more and more each day. Plus, Amy is smokin'.

Since this is the last season and all, I wanna know what happens with the characters (the ones not named cook, freddie or effie that is -_-) plus how much worse can S4 be from S3? It'd have to try really hard lol

YES, so much yes, A2A needs to get back on already. But I mean it was in the winter/spring drama promo for the BBC (as well I'm sure you know) so I wonder what that means, is it gonna start airing soon? or in a couple of months? *is confused* at any rate we're all excited now but when it starts airing we'll all be sad and wish it had lasted longer cause this is the last season! ;_; (you my friend have good appreciation for a nice firm behind)

Yay! I feel like there should be a club for disgruntled Who fans who are hoping that S5 will be a return to form. God RTD"s episodes were such wankfests and the last few eps were RIDICULOUS, like I couldnt even laugh it was just mind numbingly silly. But yes! Matt Smith <3 Mmm former footballer and it shows!

I catually do want to know what happens to Effy, but on;y if what happens involves a return to gen 1 Effy. I do know that if there is a gen 3, I'm probably not going to be watching it.

As for A2A, I seem to remember April being mentioned (but this could very well be the start date for a completely different show - my memory is appalling in regards to dates.) I still can't believe that there is only one series left of the entire LoM/A2A story. I'm going to miss all of those characters so much. :/ (And yes, I know a good bum when I see it. ;p)

Heh, I think such a club would be a very vocal minority in the Who fandom. I still don't know how I feel about the final 2 specials, but I do remember wishing that it had, you know, more of an actual plot. And so far, Moffat has had no issues whatsoever in that area. Plus, Matt Smith is fit.

girl I drop 85% of the things I start. I just try out alot of things and then maybe 1 or 2 things stick. Also british dramas are blessedly short. About 6-13 eps usually. Sometimes even less than that. The other shows I also follow as they air, so I watch them like a week at a time, it's not like having a backlog of several 16 episode dramas to worry about.

In fact I already saw the first ep of one of the shows up there and I didnt like it at all. So that's one down lol.
