Fall season dramas

I've been watching dramas again lately. So far I'm just watching Ryuusei no Kizuna and Blood Monday. I also have been watching a Kdrama called "Capital Scandal"

Since I plan on making a dramas centric post on these dramas another time i'll just speak briefly about them now. I know some people seem annoyed/disappointed/worried about RnK lately but I am TOTALLY enjoying it and the angst even. I just love kudokan's style and I appreciate the extra depth and seriousness the novel's story brings to this drama. I also can say for the firs time ever, I've totally enjoyed watching Ryo's character in a drama. I just was never very moved before by him, Sousuke was not he OMG AMAZING performance for me that it was for the majority of fandom. Neither was Asou-kun or that kid he played in Gambatte ikkimashoi. However I feel like Ryo totally brings to life the character of Taisuke and I'm getting such a kick out of watching him! I nearly died at him playing a b-boy in ep 5 and playing a creepy otaku type in ep 7. Not to mention his chemistry with the lovely toda erika is really high, I am such a ShiixTai shipper, that scene with him and her by the beach? ADORABLE <3 Though I know they wont work out in the end I like to dream XD plus maybe ryo will get erika to fall for him somehow, they'd be a cute couple dun lie!
For Blood Monday, I am quite enjoying the action packed and fast paced story, even if the majority of the characters feel rather thin and un-engaging to me. But hey at least it's not boring. So far I'm only up to ep 3, so I'll come back with more to say when I get farther in the drama.
Also worth mentioning is my latest kdrama obsession, Capital Scandal. I actually dont love it as much now as when I first started but the male cast is VERY appealing *__* but my biggest crush is on Song joo a total femme fatale and without a doubt the most complex, amazing badass character in the whole drama. Seriously you guys I'd watch it all again just for HER. I'm not really very into the main couple which sadly gets most of the airtime but all the other pairings and character interactions I enjoy greatly. It's not as good as having an 8 member eito again but I think it's waaaay better than how it was 1 year ago when Uchi's name wasnt even allowed to be uttered.

Yeah just to have Uchi openly interacting with the rest of eito is enough for me. Ohh those recomens would be awesome XD

I've not been very keen on dramas lately. I've only seen one episode of Ryuusei no Kizuna, and I though I d like Ryo's Taisuke, I just don't feel motivated to continue it. But next season is Eita and Toma in Voice :]

Yeah I decided to stop feeling bad that he wont be back and reflect on the current situation and I figured its not really as awful as I first thought afterall. Uchi is still around and being Uchi and appearing at solo con MCs and announcing he has keys to ryo's apartment XD so really 8->1 is hardly dead.

Awwww shame, RnK is my fave drama this season. and I probably wont watch voice since I hate medical dramas XD

No one will take Uchi's place in the group, so even if he cant be there in physically, Uchi will always hold a place within eito in spirit ^_^

Thank u for saying that. I try to feel that way if it's really the case that Uchi's not coming back. But like u said, either way it's a big improvement from last year when u can't even catch a glimpse of him. Either way he's always gonna be special to Eito fans, at least I hope so.

I am a ShiixTai Shipper too!1 I am so sad that Shii fell in love with Togami and doesn't feel the same way Taisuke does. ): And heheh, u're right, TodaRyo does make a cute couple. And I like BM very much, I have a habit of giving up doramas halfway but so far BM is so suspenseful and everything that I keep chasing it. XDD

Yeah I mean there is still a chance at the moment he'll return to eito but let's be honest it's a slim one. So I felt like for the people on my flist who would really be sad over this and love uchi, that I should say something. As well also for myself. Because really it's not over just cause Uchi is solo from now on. Eito is still 8, just not in the way most of wanted or expected but as there is nothing we can do for it. We can still try to make the best of it right? ^^

Yeah Togami is a nice guy but I'm kind of like :/ at shii falling for him but in reality I dont think i would have wanted tai and shii to REALLY get together because that's kind of gross :x I mean she clearly just sees him as her precious brother while his feelings are not as clear cut and that's a problem. if she felt the same as he did, even though it's still a bit weird, since they are not blood related it would not have been AS fucked up. but the fact that she doesnt have those kinds of feelings him harboring those feelings for her let alone acting on them, is kind of disgusting. if you try to look at it from shii's perspective it would be that way. Still I do find their angsty and happy moments together really nice and gah I wish toda would date ryo or smth :( and yeah I'm the same i rarely finish dramas but BM has me hooked so far!

It's hard to imagine Uchi as a solo artist but I take your point about that even that way it means he can do all those stuff like be a guest on recomen and that will be totally awesome.

RnK is so good I like how much chemistry is between the 3 main actors and Ryo and Erika Toda really make a good pair. I have to say that one of my favorite moments is when Taisuke is disguised as a street dancer and comes inside the restaurant were Shii is swindling her friend teacher, the whole scene was pure crack and then we had that lovely beach scene, also in drama terms there's one were Koichi is remembering when lhe was little and telling his sibblings how many toys they could bring to the orphanage the switching between kid actors and their adult version was so well done that I was surprised.

Yeah I think as time goes on we can definitely see Uchi on recommen and in future MCs at least! I mean Toma was on recommen before loads of times, so has yara and kazama! So why not Uchi? I hope one day we can see him on there talking with eito, that would be so great ^^

Yeah the good thing about the ariake family is they really do seem like siblings, I think toda and ryo are more sibling like than nino is with either of them and whether that's cause of nino's appearance, acting style or how his character was written I dont know. But I dont dislike eldest bro nino he's doing good in his role so far I think ^^ and that scene your talking about was really well done but I found it more cheesy than amazing XD *heart of stone*

LOL it is because most of the people on my flist either hate or dislike news. that being said, I dont really care what they think. but it;s no fun if i write in too bland a way right? though most people seem to be ok with massu but really what can you hate about him? He just sits quietly and smiles alot. Plus he'd be a fun target for kusa and tego's evil schemes in the future >D

Yep I've always adored kusano ^^ any bitches who are hating now clearly dont know how awesome he is, and when he comes back it;s only a matter of time before they realize the awesome. kusa is like massu in that he is really hard to hate. man I hope kusa comes back to news, I think that will really shake things up. I never really had a grudge with news like some other fangirls and I used to fangirl them but they got boring D: I miss the old news ;_; So maybe if kusa comes back they will get some of their old spirit <3 I think I;m just repeating my post though XD and sorry for not commenting much lately! I often just dont know what to say or just plain dont feel like commenting I think I dont comment for most people lately :x

i'm still unsure about how i feel as well, but you know, i've learned that probably either way, i will end up being happy with the decision (kusano in news or kusano with another group) and oh, believe me, i'm the same way. you'll notice it was the one time you mentioned news (in a not entirely unpositive way...) that i felt ok/had something to comment on. LOL.

Ah well I like to crack jokes about news but I still watch their appearances on heyx3 everytime and that news abake from last year. something I dont do for kt. I dont hate kt either but I just never cared much about them either way, even though I do find koki kind of cute XD much to the disgust of half of my friends lol. and yeah I can get the wariness over kusano, since he's been gone for 2 years right? so who knows what his addition could mean. I dunno if that rumor is true really but I see it as being more possible than both of them going back or kusano going solo while uchi goes back to a group. My friend was saying uchi, kusano and toma should form a group and call it KUT XD

i'll be frank, since i think you dig that, but part of the reason my k8 learning sort of dwindled down (aside from sheer laziness to look for and d/l stuff, which accounts for around 98% of all my fandom negligence lately, really. otherwise i'd also be a better arashi fan. LOL) is...some of the more, ah, enthusiastic fans. don't mean to offend, but it is what it is i guess.

that news abake is one of my favorite clips ever. :') and yeah, i think a lot of people were rooting for the idea of uchi, kusano, and toma debuting together. it'd be a story of redemption and hard work and simply deserving it! it--sounds a little like a lifetime movie like that, actually.

i am TOTALLY enjoying RnK too! and taisuke is definitely ryo's best role yet. but i mean how can anyone hate any character that is somewhat written by Kudokan. so ryo definitely got the right acting job this time coz Last Friends kinda did worse for his acting career than otherwise.

i have no recollections of kusano's interactions with news whatsoever but he seemed like a nice guy so, whatever goes. heh. but your uchi paragraph is so positive, i love it. ♥♥♥ XD as much as i like the idea, i do think it's very unlikely for uchi to return to eito. they made it seemed all complicated and such. but hmm...can't wait for the outcome of his solo cons and like, the final judgement. hah. i think the jimusho owes us a proper closure or something about what's going to happen to these guys.

YAY! Someone else who appreciates kudokan's genius and the drama. Oh and I remember you did do a post about it ^^ and I was going to comment but I was like gah I'll just make such annoying long comment! and got discouraged .__. My fave kudokan dramas are IWGP and Tiger & Dragon definitely. I dont like RnK as much as those two but I like it more than kisarazu which for reasons I'm not entirely sure about, I was totally unable to get into :(
I mean I love okada and kudokan dramas so i figured it'd be great but I was only able ot make it two episodes in. I think cause I wasnt connecting well with the other characters and baseball bores me so much that just the bare mention of it is enough to make my eyes glaze over XD. and I totally agree about Ryo. I dont talk about how i feel about his acting much cause I know alot of people will be rushing to tell me how wrong and mistaken I am but I am quite adamant that Ryo has until this drama been totally unable to impress me with his acting. He seems rather unnatural or dull most of the time :x but taisuke is neither and i think kudokan's madcap script really brought out the inner quirky goofy ryo we all know is in there. figures ryo would shine best when he was finally allowed out of the cool guy type character.

LOL I told my friends that I am a disciple of murakami now and refuse to be negative about anything anymore XD I really was upset about uchi's possible not return earlier this year but as the year progressed and the chance he would return became lesser and lesser I decided it was time to sit back and reflect. and the result is that it's really not such a bad scenario afterall. So long as uchi still gets to interact with other K8 members and we can see him doing other activities, what's to be sad about? and I agree as well, solo or not, I hope that the Jimusho will make a definitive statement about Uchi and Kusano. very soon. the fans have waited long enough!

The Uchi thing is such a drama fest. :( I pretty much feel how you do. If he comes back, I'll be cool with it; and if he doesn't, I'll be cool with it. I don't think it's likely he'll come back either. But who knows? I'm not a huge fan of his, but I like him.

RnK is an awesome drama. I love everything: the acting, the soundtrack, the crack. ♥ And Shii and Yukinari are so cute together. <3

Episode 8 was awesome. I cannot wait to see what happens next.

Yeah it really is that's why I'm kind of looking forward to all the crazy wank that's gonna come out of Uchi and Kusano either returning or not returning. I just know when those official announcements start rolling out fandom is gonna EXPLODE.

I love Rnk's songs except for the OP, in general not a big fan of arashi's music. and the sad thing is they probably release songs the most frequently these days and the groups I like do so much less. but eh, I love mika's orion though! MIKA <3 she's so cool ;_;

Massu is a sweetheart, and yeah News fans arent as numerious in eito fandom as you'd expect considering they share members XD but I think that just goes back to early bitterness at having TO share members, and breaking up other groups and the conflicting images the two groups have. like news is all boys next door and eito is crazy osakans so it's totally different and thusly the people they would attract are totally different but since the groups share members it's hard to just ignore each other. AND SO THE NEWS AND K8 FANDOMS ARE FOREVER INTERTWINED, CAUGHT ON THE SAME THREAD OF FATE. AT ODDS WITH EACH OTHER AND YET! ONE CANNOT EXIST WITHOUT THE OTHER...lol or not but it's more fun to think of it that way :D

OMG SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME LIKES TAI x SHII~ ♥ ;_;

LOL i feel so alone in my Tai/Shii shipping sometimes, the only one i talk to who watches it is kind of unhappy about the Tai/Shii and everyone else seems to just think it's weird T_T; I saw it coming from the beginning and now that it's definitely canon i'm like :D but i swear I'm like the only one who would be happy if they would end up together! (even though I know they won't, coz it'll be about Tai and Koichi having to like grow up from their dependencies on each other and stuff)

As much as i DID love Ryo in LF and OLoT there was totally still some... "stiffness"? to his acting? Though I could see him improving even if i don't think he was perfect.... but Taisuke just seems really comfortable and natural and OMG SO ADORABLE ^^;; Even if Ryo says the character is very different from him, I think all his inner dorky-spaz(but with a bit of a serious side) gets to come out in this character which makes it really sparkle and feel natural. I dunno I adore Taisuke. :P

I'm happy I'm not the only one who still likes it this far in :))

I've been so worried about the fates of Kusano and Uchi that I'm just going to sit back and not debate about it anymore. Great to read the thoughts of others, though!
