Nice to see another (late) fan of "Life". I watch close to no TV series (there would probably be a few that would appeal to me if I gave them a try. It's mainly that I already watch so many movies so I try to consciously avoid getting hooked on TV series) but it was hard to resist "Life". You already describe much that made it worth viewing. The only other thing I additionally want to point out is that it also looks visually very appealing, many episodes, or scenes of episodes have a cinematic look. And that I wasn't able to take my exes off Sarah Shahi. ;) Too bad it already ended. And even the first season was cut short due to the writer's strike. I had such a good idea for another whole season story arc (even though there was only one hint they may actually go in that direction one day). I hope you won't see it as a spoiler when I mention that the second season wasn't as good as the first one, but I think that was probably inevitable. It was in my view still very enjoyable.
